Job Requirements
Location:
Burlington, ON - Travel requirement: 2 days on site per week and travel to Tiverton for periods of approximately 2 weeks to 1 month (per diem applies)
CGP (Controlled Goods) clearance: Required (active or expired BP or OPG)
Project Context
The Project Manager will be accountable for the delivery of engineering and/or manufacturing projects supporting customers within the CANDU Nuclear industry . Typical projects range in value from approximately $100K to $5M and support long‑term programs with a multi‑year outlook.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full project life cycles from proposal phase through to implementation
Define methods, resources, and strategies required to meet project objectives and develop comprehensive project execution plans covering all project phases
Balance and manage competing project constraints including scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, with support from a project scheduler, and identify resourcing requirements to drive performance
Develop and implement recovery plans to address delayed activities and bring deliverables back on track
Maintain full accountability for project financial performance
Monitor project expenditures and performance indicators and update forecasts, addressing deviations as they are identified
Control project scope by interpreting contracts and Statements of Work and monitoring activities and customer requests accordingly
Travel to customer locations and other Westinghouse facilities as required
Candidate Requirements
Must‑Have Qualifications
Nuclear industry experience with Bruce Power (BP) or Ontario Power Generation (OPG)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience supporting execution and/or construction activities for BP or OPG projects
