Mechanical Engineer II

About the Role
As a Mechanical Engineering II you will develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials for complex electro‑mechanical first‑of‑a‑kind tooling. You will report to the Manager of Maintenance Tooling Engineering and work in a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite at one of our Ontario offices).

Key Responsibilities

Develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials for complex electro‑mechanical tooling.

Assemble and test custom equipment through the design evolution from prototype to finished product.

Help develop test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Operate the final tooling system in customer facilities.

Provide technical oversight and mentoring of junior members of the Engineering team.

Perform classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA) to qualify systems and components against applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.

2 to 4 years of relevant experience.

Understanding of conceptual design development, design reviews, and engineering change control processes.
