Position: Apprentice Electrical Operator Opportunity
Start your electrical career as an Apprentice Electrical Operator with Burlington Hydro, focusing on safe and efficient distribution operations.

As an Apprentice, you'll contribute to Burlington Hydro's electrical distribution system under the guidance of experienced supervisors. You’ll be involved in daily operations, including system monitoring, record maintenance, and effective communication with various stakeholders. Enroll in the MEARIE Electrical Operator certification program to develop your skills and advance towards journeyperson status.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring substations and distribution lines

• Participate in daily operational control activities

• Help prepare Work Protection Forms for crews

• Communicate with team members and external agencies

• Maintain accurate records and database entries

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology

• Willingness to attain Journeyperson certification

• UWPC certification or intent to acquire

• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license

• Keen understanding of industry standards and regulations
