About

The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro‑mechanical first‑of‑a‑kind tooling. You will report to the Manager of Maintenance Tooling Engineering. This position will have a hybrid work schedule; employees are expected to work onsite at one of our Ontario offices (Kitchener, Burlington or Peterborough) two days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro‑mechanical first‑of‑a‑kind tooling.

Assembly and testing of custom equipment through the design evolution from prototype to finished product.

Help develop test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Help operate the final tooling system in the customer facilities.

Provide technical oversight and mentoring of more junior members of the Engineering team.

Perform both classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA) to qualify systems and components against applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).

Bachelor of Engineering from Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.

5 years of relevant experience.

Understanding of conceptual design development, with design reviews and engineering change control processes.

Salary
The annual salary for this position is estimated to be $86,800 to $108,500, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills.
