Building Engineer

Position: City Building Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure plans conform to Ontario Building Code regulations

• Analyze and evaluate architectural and structural designs

• Review technical reports regarding building systems

• Provide technical advice during design discussions

• Conduct site inspections to assess compliance

Requirements:

• Four-year degree in Engineering or Architecture

• Eligibility for Professional Engineer designation in Ontario

• At least 5 years of relevant experience

• Proficiency in large/complex building regulations

• Excellent customer service and organizational skills
