Senior Environmental Planner at WSP Ontario

WSP seeks a Senior Environmental Planner to influence sustainable infrastructure development across Ontario. Lead environmental assessments and engage with communities and regulators for impactful planning solutions.

In this senior role, you'll guide environmental assessments for significant infrastructure projects. The position demands extensive experience with Ontario's regulatory frameworks and at least 7 years in the field. You will also mentor junior team members while implementing innovative engagement approaches for stakeholder involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct environmental planning for highways and corridors

• Create and present comprehensive environmental reports

• Tackle complex regulatory challenges with sound judgment

• Provide technical guidance and quality reviews for studies

• Collaborate effectively with clients and Indigenous partners

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science or related field

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the area

• Strong management of multidisciplinary project teams

• Proven experience in stakeholder consultation design

• Familiarity with provincial and federal regulations
