The City of Burlington is seeking a full-time Building Engineer to ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code. In this role, you will interpret code requirements, review building designs, and conduct necessary inspections. Key Responsibilities:

• Review building permit applications in detail

• Evaluate mechanical and life safety system designs

• Conduct thorough site inspections for compliance

• Advise clients on building codes and processes

• Prepare technical documentation and reports

Requirements:

• 4-year degree in Engineering or Architecture

• Eligibility for PEO designation in Ontario

• At least 5 years of related experience

• 2 years with large/complex buildings criteria

• Excellent communication and analytical skills
