Design municipal roads with EXP as a Senior Roadway Engineer in Ontario, using Micro Station, Open Roads, and transportation planning expertise. Work from Ottawa, Brampton, Markham, London, or Hamilton offices.
This senior engineering role supports EXP’s Transportation team and helps build transportation planning and operational analysis business lines. You will lead detailed design and planning projects for arterial, regional, collector, and municipal local roads. The position combines technical delivery, project management, client communication, supervision, and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and supervise transportation design and planning teams
- Prepare preliminary and detailed roadway designs
- Produce specifications, tender documents, and approval applications
- Coordinate clients, contractors, consultants, and construction staff
- Manage transportation tasks, schedules, budgets, and quality control
- Civil Engineering degree and 10+ years of related experience
- Professional Engineer designation with PEO
- Proficiency with Micro Station, Open Roads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
- Knowledge of MTO, Metrolinx, municipal, and regional standards
- Experience supervising staff, managing budgets, and preparing reports
