Job Description

Our client is actively seeking an experienced and adaptable Manager of Finance and Business Services to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in accounting and finance in a supervisory capacity. The successful candidate will have experience with leading the finance function for a small to mid-sized company, overseeing multiple departments, and will have strong people leadership skills.

If you’re a strong finance leader, good at managing multiple priorities, overseeing finance, HR, and IT functions, and enjoy the fast pace of a smaller organization, this could be the role for you.

Work Arrangement:
Hybrid in the Greater-Hamilton area.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage all Finance, Accounting, and Tax functions for the organization.
  • Oversee a team of multi-functional direct reports; delegate, review and approve their work and performance.
  • Manage HR functions including hiring and performance management of full-time employees.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and packages to senior leadership.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes.
  • Oversee and work closely with IT to evaluate systems, software, and workflow, and implement process improvements.
  • Qualifications and

    Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Experience leading teams from multiple functions (Finance, HR, IT, etc).
  • CPA Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software required
  • High level of organization and detail orientation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly adaptable and able to juggle multiple priorities
