Controller to join their team in Thorold, ON. Responsibilities:

Own and manage full-cycle accounting including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for both Canadian and U.S. operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets, resolving complex accounting issues

Lead and mentor a diverse accounting team, fostering accountability and growth, and managing staff development

Identify and independently solve problems, driving process improvement and efficiency across financial operations

Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital needs, providing clear visibility into cash positions

Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements, coordinating with external parties

Lead and support special initiatives, including system enhancements and process redesign, acting as a finance partner to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

CPA designation is a non-negotiabl

The ideal profile is a solid Controller, Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager

Proven experience owning the month-end close proces

Experience managing a small to mid-sized accounting tea

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on independent resolutio

Experience with Dynamics Business Central is preferred
