The University of Waterloo is seeking a skilled Director of Information Systems, a pivotal leadership role responsible for planning, development, and support of secure IT services. This position involves overseeing ERP systems for Student, HR, and Finance, in addition to managing departmental applications and the Web Content Management System. Engage with diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment between academic and administrative systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop annual plans and priorities for the Information Systems group
• Manage hiring and team development within the department
• Lead and deliver information systems projects with governance oversight
• Maintain strong partnerships with external technology vendors
• Ensure data privacy, cybersecurity, and system usability
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
• 10-12 years of progressive IT experience
• Proven track record in leadership and management
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• High-level experience in vendor management
