Purchasing Agent

Position: Purchasing Agent - 6 Month Contract
CIMCO Refrigeration is hiring a Purchasing Agent for a 6-month contract based in Burlington, ON. This role involves purchasing, expediting, and providing technical support in a dynamic order desk environment.

As a Purchasing Agent, you'll interact directly with vendors and the CIMCO team. Your primary focus will be on timely responses to delivery and pricing requests while ensuring material availability. You will play a vital role in supporting our engineering and sales efforts through effective sourcing and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely pricing and delivery quotations

• Verify material availability with inventory system

• Establish vendor relationships and communicate effectively

• Issue purchase orders and track shipments

• Address inquiries and resolve technical issues as needed

Requirements:

• Industrial buying experience required

• Mechanical aptitude is a strong asset

• Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy

• Motivated, capable of working autonomously

• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
