Job Description:

Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading production and maintenance teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role oversees daily production activities, maintains compliance with safety and quality standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support production, filling, batching, and maintenance teams.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, GMP standards, and company policies.

Monitor production performance and key operational metrics to meet quality and productivity targets.

Oversee equipment startup, changeovers, sanitation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

Ensure products are manufactured according to specifications and quality standards.

Manage staffing, attendance, scheduling, and employee development.

Coordinate maintenance activities and external contractors while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.

Support continuous improvement projects and operational efficiency initiatives.

Participate in health and safety programs and cross-functional meetings.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is an asset.

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably within food & beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, or consumer goods industries.

Strong knowledge of OHSA, GMP, and manufacturing best practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with ERP/MRP systems and preventive maintenance programs.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
