Community Care Nursing Specialist

Community care experience and wound expertise define this full-time NSWOC RN opportunity with Para Med, supporting coordinated nursing standards.

The NSWOC Registered Nurse enhances daily nursing practice while maintaining established standards, physicians’ orders, and administrative policies. Candidates need a Wound Certificate from a one-year University-accredited course, provincial nursing credentials, and similar Community or long-term care experience. The position includes resident or patient assessment, care planning, staff oversight, and nursing direction.

• Monitor residents and patients alongside care assessments
• Implement and evaluate resident or patient care plans
• Evaluate nursing and personal care staff performance
• Conduct performance appraisals and refer concerns appropriately
• Direct nursing services when the Director of Care is absent

• Appropriate current provincial certificate of competence
• Registration or eligibility with the approved professional institution
• Comprehensive knowledge from similar Community or long-term care experience
• Ability to prioritize urgent tasks independently and collaboratively
• Strong verbal, written, comprehension, and problem-solving abilities
