Part Time Registered Practical Nurse

Provide patient-oriented nursing care as a part time Registered Practical Nurse with Extendicare, applying clinical judgment and person-centered practice. Support residents through planned care, treatments, and medication administration.

Reporting to the Director of Care or Director of Health and Wellness, the Registered Practical Nurse delivers goal-directed care under provincial standards. You will coordinate care plans, communicate changes, and work with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams. The position includes resident education, documentation, and clinical coordination.

• Provide direct resident care and administer medications and treatments
• Complete assessments, care plans, service plans, and documentation
• Evaluate care effectiveness and communicate required changes
• Coordinate resident assignments for timely nursing services
• Manage significant condition changes and medical emergencies

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
• Strong clinical knowledge, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening issued within six months
