Food quality and inventory accuracy define this on-site Quality Control Specialist role with Ippolito Fruit and Produce Ltd. in Burlington, Ontario.
As part of Inventory Control, you will monitor product quality, support food safety documentation, and review shipment information. The work includes FIFO rotation, distribution reporting, and maintaining clean, safe operations. You will also assist Grower Relations with food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute quality standards, policies, procedures, and monitoring systems
- Complete food safety documentation and review product rejections
- Support FIFO product rotation and quality product goals
- Report shortages, overages, and Days on Hand aging
- Compile shipment data and document shipping errors
- Two to three years of distribution experience, preferably food industry
- Strong attention to detail and inventory documentation accuracy
- Ability to lift 50 pounds comfortably
- Team-focused commitment to food and workplace safety
- Flexibility to travel between Burlington locations
