WhatYou''ll Bring:
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience in all phases of testing life cycle: requirements gathering, design, and testing of complex enterprise applications, including manual/automation test development and defect management.
- Passion to build robust test suites and out‑of‑the‑box solutions for test optimization and risk‑based testing for great application products, with the ability to support large‑scale distributed systems.
- Hands‑on experience developing automated test strategies and frameworks for API Services test automation.
- Understanding of web service concepts including SOAP, REST, JSON and XML.
- Expertise in Linux/Unix, shell scripting, JBOSS, Spring Boot and other basic server administration.
- Knowledge of source code versioning (prefer Git Hub), Harness, Jenkins, Ansible, CI/CD tools.
- Working knowledge of testing tools and frameworks:
Selenium (Java or C#), Rest Assured, Cucumber (BDD), Playwright, Postman, TestNG, Maven, SoapUI, JIRA. - Knowledge of database testing (Postgres and Microsoft SQL Databases), middleware/backend testing, and SQL queries.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated critical thinking.
- Engineering or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management preferred.
- Partner with internal business resources and technical teams to analyze requirements and deliver solutions to complex issues, ensuring testability and automation feasibility, and providing feedback on design (both functional and technical).
- Deep understanding of industry‑standard methodologies of SDLC, STLC, and development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- Participate in code reviews and testing initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional technology teams, including dev‑ops and infrastructure.
- Contribute to impact assessments from feature enhancements at the system level and existing automated test suites.
- Conduct test design, test planning, test automation development, and test execution.
- Perform manual testing and use strong exploratory testing to uncover weaknesses in test approaches.
- Create robust automated tests focused on easy maintenance, reusability, long‑term sustainability, and efficiency.
- Provide test consultation to Scrum team members to assist them in developing robust unit test suites.
- Responsible for ensuring quality of work, team deliveries, and department goals.
- Automation development responsibilities: code review/bug analysis, analyzing development and test impacts, writing test tools, and identifying automation opportunities.
- Contribute to improvements in functional testing coverage, design test framework, develop test suites, and expand automated testing harness via CI/CD.
The expected pay range for this position is $89,000 - $123,000 annually. Actual compensation is based on careful consideration of many factors such as an individual’s education, training, work experience, job‑related skill set, location, industry knowledge, scope of responsibilities, and market considerations. Variable compensation is based on applicable company guidance and plan documents as well as performance.
Work ArrangementThis is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in‑person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
