Senior AI Architect LLM Systems

Architect production AI systems at Accertify using Python, SQL, LLMs, and retrieval systems. This remote US role supports hybrid work in Itasca, Illinois.
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will lead end-to-end intelligent solutions and set technical direction. Your work spans machine learning, agentic orchestration, data architecture, and production deployment. You will mentor engineers while partnering across Data Science, Data Engineering, product, and stakeholder teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect AI systems and review technical designs
Define LLM routing, prompts, models, and orchestration
Own secure cloud and on-premises deployment patterns
Guide retrieval stores, schemas, and data performance
Establish AI evaluation and observability frameworks
Requirements:
Five or more years of production software experience
Strong Python and SQL proficiency

Experience with production LLMs, RAG, and agents

Experience with medallion architectures and data at scale
Degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or equivalent experience
Lead Accertify’s AI architecture with Python, SQL, LLM strategy, retrieval, secure deployment, and measurable production quality.
