CDL Instructor & Examiner - Driving Academy

Position: CDL Instructor & Examiner - BEST Driving Academy (2)
Best Driving Academy,  part of BEST Logistics Group, is currently seeking a full-time CDL Instructor & Examiner to join our team!

In operation since 2021 and based in Burlington NC, our academy was created with a focus on providing a quality education to each student ready to jump behind the wheel of their career as a CDL Driver.

At Best Driving Academy, our goal is to prepare our students for real-world opportunities by providing them with training in a state-of-the-art environment that utilizes technology and trainers with proven industry experience. The ideal candidate is an experienced driver instructor and examiner (licensed in North Carolina or having the ability to obtain licensure) that can work well in a team environment and provide constructive feedback and real-world knowledge as they prepare students to obtain their CDL.

Job Duties

Five years of verifiable experience as a CDL Driver.

Business/Industry, truck driving school, and/or apprenticeship.

Must maintain a valid CDL license current Medical Card.

CDL class A certification in truck driving, Third Party Testing Certificate

Must submit to regular Department of Transportation physicals and random drug/alcohol screens.

Meet all legal requirements, submit all clearances required by the School or established by law.

Ability to safely operate any of the Class A vehicles in the fleet; must be skilled with operation a manual transmission

Ability to effectively present information in small or large groups or individualized instruction.

Ability to write reports, take attendance and perform other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

Clean MVR within the past 3 years

At least 5 years experience driving a Class A CDL Vehicle.

At least 2 years of experience driving within the last 5 years.

Be able to become a licensed instructor and examiner by the State of North Carolina.
