Air Liquide is hiring for a Shipper-Receiver (Union). This position is located at our facility in Burlington, ON.

Hourly wage: $36.86/hour.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate preparation, loading, receiving, and shipping of cylinder products in order to satisfy internal and external customer needs. The incumbent will also maintain the organization of the shipping facility and forklift maintenance, all while promoting ALC’s health and safety objectives.

• Prepare outgoing shipments to ensure customer requirements and specifications are met.
• Unload and examine incoming shipments, report damaged items, record shortages, and collaborate with Purchasing on damages/shortages.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts.
• Perform basic maintenance of the warehouse and area, keeping the space clean, organized, and clear.
• Maintain stock levels, bin locations, and appropriate warehouse labeling for optimal picking and inventory counts.
• Sort, store, and clear materials and equipment, and ensure that snow is cleared from docks, stairs, etc.
• Picks orders for customers and satellite locations.
• Maintain racking and equipment to ensure it is in good condition.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work with standard current computer applications.
• TDG & WHMIS certification is a requirement and will be provided.
• Knowledge in 5S/GWP (Good Warehousing Practices).
• Knowledge and experience of safety practices within a warehouse is an asset.
• Ability to demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and work independently.
• Must be able to occasionally move 50-75 lbs, with equipment assistance.
• Experience in ERP solutions is an asset.
