Role
Purpose:
The Receiver is responsible for all functions and documentation of incoming and ongoing materials. This role ensures that deliveries are safely unloaded, inspected, and documented in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
Shift Time: Night 10:45 pm – 7:15 am
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive inbound deliveries and obtain required documentation from drivers.
Verify delivered materials against packing slips and purchase orders.
Unload trucks and containers using appropriate material handling equipment.
Inspect shipments for visible damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
Record shipment details and complete required receiving paperwork.
Follow all site safety procedures and delivery protocols.
Communicate discrepancies or concerns to appropriate personnel.
Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and proper manner:
Compactors
RF scanners
Assist with general warehouse activities (such as housekeeping and general machine upkeep) as required.
Qualifications and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification or training on warehouse equipment preferred (Raymond Reach, Walkie Rider, Scissor Lift).
Basic math and documentation skills.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
Physical Demands:
Lift up to and occasionally more than 50 pounds.
Standing for extended periods of time.
Repetitive movements over extended periods.
