Low Boy Driver​/Diesel Mechanic

Description

Ideal Ready Mix is looking for a dependable Diesel Mechanic with a CDL who can also operate a lowboy trailer to transport heavy equipment as needed. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical problems, and hitting the road when required.

• Service, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and heavy equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Accurately document all work performed
• Train operators on inspections and vehicle care

• Safely haul oversized loads and heavy equipment to job sites
• Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and secure loads per DOT standards
• Assist with loading/unloading and basic equipment troubleshooting
• Maintain trip logs and deliver paperwork

• Valid CDL and ability to pass a DOT physical
• Strong diesel mechanic experience (gas, diesel, hydraulic, electrical systems)
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in all weather conditions
• Must provide own mechanic hand tools
• Willingness to travel, work night/ weekends as needed
