Director, Assistant Corporate Controller

KBW Financial has partnered with a global public life science compamny to identify an Assistant Corporate Controller. This role will oversee corporate accounting and support global business units.

• Manage the global monthly close, consolidations, GL accounting, shared services and support financial reporting
• Manage the accounting for a complex multi-entity, multi-currency global company
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal policies and SEC requirements
• Provide financial oversight to BU accounting teams
• Support internal stakeholders across business units and functions
• Enhance financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and systems to align with best practices and business needs
• Liason with external auditors on significant judgments and accounting matters.
• Partner with finance, tax, treasury, legal, information technology, and business teams on cross-functional initiatives affecting accounting and reporting
• M&A diligence and integration support
• Support preparation for presentation to executive management or the Audit Committee
• Ensure compliance of key internal controls

• 10+ years accounting / finance leadership exp in a publicly traded company or public accounting firm
• CPA is required; public accounting experience is required
• Experience leading a corporate accounting function for a US based publicly traded company with global entites

• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and strong understanding of financial and IT controls and SOX requirements
• Experience with large-scale ERP System

COMP: $180 - 210k base + 20% bonus + equity
