Senior Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in Burlington, Massachusetts on a Contract basis. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close activities, and delivering timely reporting for business stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting judgment, hands-on experience with tax and general ledger work, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Lead core close activities by preparing journal entries, reviewing account balances, and completing reconciliations to ensure accurate month-end results.
• Oversee daily cash movements and banking activity while maintaining reliable records that support reporting and audit readiness.
• Contribute to financial statement preparation and recurring reporting deliverables for management and operational leaders.
• Support both payables and receivables workflows by helping resolve issues, monitoring transactions, and improving accuracy across processes.
• Examine financial results to identify variances, research irregularities, and recommend corrective actions when discrepancies arise.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for corporate tax and sales tax obligations, including required filings and compliance records.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on budgeting support, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting needs.
• Assist with accounting process enhancements and participate in special projects that strengthen efficiency and controls.
