Exciting start-up biotech is hiring a Staff Accountant to join their rapidly growing team!
Responsibilities- Assist with the general accounting process by preparing journal entries
- Assist with the month-end close process which includes preparing balance sheet reconciliations and P&L accounts
- Prepare supporting account reconciliations for multiple divisions
- Oversee Accounts Payable processes
- Oversee payroll duties
- Responsible for fixed asset accounting
- Support with external financial statement audit and other audit requests
- Ad hoc project support to both Finance and Accounting functions
- A Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field)
- 1-2 years' experience in accounting
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
- Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue to learn
- Excited about working somewhere which is changing every day
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to help make strategic decisions
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
