Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering
Burlington, MA (Greater Boston) On-Site Full-Time Start January or June 2027
ABOUT ENVISION ENERGYEnvision Energy is a global green technology company with operations across Asia, Europe, and North America. We design, build, and operate smart wind turbines, develop advanced energy storage and battery systems, and produce green hydrogen — all in service of one mission: solving the challenges of a sustainable future.
Green hydrogen is central to that mission. Made from renewable electricity and water, it is a zero-emission fuel for the industries that are hardest to decarbonize — steel, chemicals, fertilizer, and heavy transportation. Our H2 Center of Excellence in Burlington, Massachusetts is where we develop and scale the electrolyzer technology that makes it possible: raising efficiency, lowering cost, and bringing production to industrial scale.
THEOPPORTUNITY
We are hiring an entry-level Process Engineer from the Class of 2027 to join our electrolyzer manufacturing team. This role is built specifically for new college graduates — you will complete your degree in December 2026 or May 2027 and start with us in January 2027 or summer 2027.
You won't be watching from the sidelines. From your first months, you will own real parts of how our electrolyzer stacks are built — writing the procedures, mapping the process, and solving problems on the production floor — working side by side with experienced process, mechanical, quality, materials, and electrochemistry engineers. It's a rare chance to launch your engineering career on a clean energy technology that is being scaled right now, where your work directly shapes how it gets made.
WHATYOU'LL DO
- Support process and manufacturing engineering for electrolyzer stack assembly, from incoming components to finished stacks.
- Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams (PFDs) that production teams use every day.
- Partner with the Quality team to define inspection criteria and test methods for incoming parts and assembled stacks.
- Troubleshoot production issues and take part in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCA / CAPA).
- Collect and analyze process data to improve yield, cycle time, throughput, and reliability.
- Work with design engineers to improve stack and component designs for manufacturability (DFM).
- Collaborate with materials scientists and chemists on new process development and scale-up.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects (5S, standard work, waste reduction).
- Travel occasionally (up to 15%), including internationally, to work with Envision's global engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Real ownership early: meaningful projects on a production line, not just support tasks.
- Cross-functional exposure: process, quality, design, materials, and electrochemistry — all in one role.
- Clean energy scale-up experience: a front‑row seat taking green hydrogen technology from development to industrial production.
- Global perspective: collaborate with Envision teams and sites around the world.
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or a related field — completed between December 2026 and May 2027.
- Hands‑on engineering experience through internships, co‑ops, research labs, senior design / capstone projects, or engineering student teams.
- Solid engineering fundamentals (e.g., thermodynamics, materials, mechanical design, or electrochemistry).
- Clear written and verbal…
