- Evaluate technical trade-offs and alternative approaches, considering quality, schedule, and cost implications.
- Partner with Oracle hardware, software, and cloud engineering teams, GPU and CPU suppliers, and joint design manufacturers to coordinate engineering activities.
- Build relationships across lines of business and with external partners and leadership.
- Communicate technical trade-offs, program risks, progress, milestones, and next steps to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Provide evidence-based recommendations to support management decisions affecting assigned products and programs.
- Prepare technical reports, program updates, and executive briefings, including senior leadership and SVP reviews when required.
- Drive alignment and issue resolution across engineering teams and external partners without direct reporting authority.
- Lead cross-functional engineering and program activities through technical credibility, collaboration, and influence.
- Apply independent judgment to resolve moderately complex hardware systems and program challenges involving multiple variables and potential outcomes.
- Identify and implement improvements in hardware validation, system integration, and technical program execution.
- Seek diverse viewpoints, mentor junior colleagues, and provide task oversight to improve team capability and execution.
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, and temporary staff as required.
- Contribute to functional and business goals within and, when needed, beyond the immediate team.
