Senior Software Engineer – AI Platform/Real Time OS

Burlington MA – Hybrid – 3 days onsite

The Alexander Technology Group is searching for a Senior Software Engineer that will build high‑performance systems at the intersection of AI, edge computing, and cloud infrastructure. The right candidate will have a background with C/C++/Go/Python and experienced working in a real‑time edge computing environment.

• Build platform software for AI inference, real‑time edge workloads, and distributed data processing
• Architect scalable edge + cloud systems from the ground up
• Develop high‑performance components in C/C++, Go, and Python
• Build API‑driven middleware connecting AI models, data services, and apps
• Implement SOA/SaaS frameworks for modular, scalable systems
• Use Terraform/Cloud Formation + IaC to automate deployments
• Deploy using Docker + Kubernetes across edge and cloud environments
• Integrate secure TCP/IP + HTTPS communication layers
• Use CMake + Bash for build automation and pipelines
• Work in a modern Git‑based CI/CD environment
• Collaborate with AI teams to embed ML models into production systems
• Optimize performance across distributed and resource‑constrained environments
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural direction

• 6+ years of experience in software, embedded, cloud, or distributed systems
• Expert in C/C++, Go, and Python
• Deep experience with edge/AI platforms, real‑time systems, or data pipelines
• Strong TCP/IP & HTTPS fundamentals
• Background in SOA, IaC (Terraform/Cloud Formation), and SaaS design
• Hands‑on with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux environments
• Experience with CMake, Bash, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Strong debugging + performance tuning across distributed systems

• Experience with edge AI platforms, model serving, or sensor‑to‑cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of ML deployment tools (Tensor
  
  RT, ONNX Runtime, Torch Serve)
• Real‑time, streaming, or event‑driven systems experience
• Familiarity with Postgres, Redis
• Dev Ops/CI/CD/observability experience (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Security + networking optimization in edge environments
• Leadership or mentorship experience
