As a Principal Product Manager for Personal Safety, you will define and execute the strategy for the critical areas of the Everbridge 360 platform that safeguard people and enable rapid response during emergencies. This role focuses on features and capabilities that protect lives - including personal safety devices (PSD), mobile SOS functionality, dynamic location awareness, badging, and access control integrations.

You will drive innovation at the intersection of software, hardware, and user experience, ensuring Everbridge delivers trusted, world‑class solutions for personal safety and organizational resilience. The role spans all aspects of Life Safety in CEM - from strategy and service architecture to product offering, partnerships, and third‑party integrations.

This position requires a unique blend of strategic vision, operational rigor, technical depth, and customer empathy. You will align cross‑functional teams, lead dedicated scrum teams, collaborate with hardware partners, and deliver life safety solutions that meet the needs of global enterprises, public safety organizations, and individuals at risk.

What you’ll do
  • Strategic Product Leadership
  • Own the product vision and strategy for Life Safety within the Everbridge
    360 Critical Event Management platform.
  • Drive platform innovation in location‑based safety, mobile SOS, access control, and device integration.
  • Anticipate market shifts in safety technologies and identify opportunities for differentiation.
Portfolio & Roadmap Management
  • Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle for personal safety devices, badging, mobile SOS, and location‑awareness features.
  • Define and execute roadmaps that balance near‑term value delivery with long‑term growth.
  • Ensure portfolio alignment with company objectives and broader platform strategy.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Collaborate with other PMs to ensure planning and implementation of the integrated Life Safety roadmap within CEM.
  • Partner with engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Lead scrum teams dedicated to Life Safety and Personal Safety product components.
  • Serve as the product lead for integration with hardware device providers and life safety monitoring service providers.
  • Make trade‑off decisions between business, customer, and technical priorities.
Customer & Market Insights
  • Develop deep understanding of customer needs related to personal safety, life safety, access control, real‑time location awareness, and monitoring services.
  • Partner with customer‑facing teams to validate use cases and refine product‑market fit.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory, compliance, and safety standards shaping the industry.
Data‑Driven Decision Making
  • Define metrics to measure adoption, response effectiveness, and safety outcomes.
  • Use analytics and customer data to prioritize features and continuously optimize experiences.
Executive Influence & Communication
  • Present strategies, roadmaps, and results to executive leadership.
  • Influence organizational priorities by articulating the business and human impact of life safety initiatives.
What you’ll bring
  • 7+ years of product management experience (senior level strongly preferred).
  • Master (or Bachelor's) degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience with hardware/software integrations and personal safety devices, wearables, IoT), location technologies and radio/mobile communications.
  • Familiarity with Critical Event Management and emergency response solutions.
  • Proven track record managing complex, cross‑functional product initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to tie product strategy to measurable business outcomes.
  • Enthusiasm for leveraging emerging AI tools and techniques to accelerate product discovery, ideation, and execution.
  • Comfort with live prototyping, exploring different model capabilities, and applying AI‑driven insights to inform strategy, user research, and product decisions.
  • Proficiency with product management frameworks and tools (Agile, Lean, OKRs).
  • Advanced analytical skills, including comfort with SQL, BI tools (Tableau, Power BI), and experimentation.
