Principal Product Manager - Federal

As a Principal Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Everbridge 360 Federal product. You will be responsible for shaping the long-term vision, aligning cross-functional teams, and delivering innovative solutions that solve complex customer challenges. This leadership position demands a combination of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of market dynamics.

• Strategic Product Leadership: Support the long-term vision and strategy for the product portfolio in alignment with company objectives.
• Portfolio Management: Manage the development and execution of multiple product roadmaps across teams.
• Ensure portfolio alignment with organizational goals, balancing short-term gains with long-term growth.
• Monitor product development to ensure compliance with federal certifications (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA) and all applicable government and commercial contract requirements.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

• Drive alignment and collaboration across engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
• Act as the ultimate decision-maker for trade-offs, balancing business needs with customer expectations.

Customer and Market Insights:

• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and industry trends.
• Partner with customer-facing teams to gather insights and validate product hypotheses.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

• Establish and refine metrics to measure product performance and business impact.
• Use data analytics to guide decisions and continuously optimize product offerings.

Executive Reporting and Influence:

• Present product strategies, updates, and outcomes to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Influence organizational priorities by articulating the value and impact of product initiatives.

• 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a principal or equivalent leadership role.
• Proven experience building and managing SaaS products in the U.S. federal technology marketplace, with a strong understanding of procurement processes, contracting, and government customer needs.
• Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks including FedRAMP and DoD Impact Level Authorization process, with demonstrated experience guiding products through authorization and certification.
• Bachelor s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred).
• Familiarity with Critical Event Management solutions is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex product initiatives. Strong business acumen and ability to connect product strategy to business outcomes.
• Expertise in product management tools and methodologies, including Agile, Lean, and OKRs.
• Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in tools like Tableau, SQL, and business intelligence platforms.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing C-level stakeholders.
• Deep passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering world-class customer experiences.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance if required.

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $139,000 - $198,000 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate s skills, qualifications, and experience.
