Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Urgent Care

MD is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a vital clinical team member, you will play an integral role in providing high‑quality care to our patients, working alongside medical providers, and contributing to a supportive, collaborative environment. Your Impact
- Patient Care & Triage: conduct comprehensive triage, take vital signs, document history, and perform observational examinations.
- Assist with patient exams, ensuring all necessary equipment and documentation are prepared, while supporting providers during testing and procedures.
- Perform diagnostic and testing procedures, including vision, hearing, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, spirometry, and more.
- Execute point‑of‑care testing (strep, flu, RSV, SARS‑CoV‑2, glucose, lipid panel, urinalysis).
- Provide cardiac and airway management (ECGs, AED use, nebulizer treatments, oxygen administration).
- Deliver wound care assessments, immunizations, and medication administration per federal and state regulations.
- Assist with patient inquiries, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records, documenting patient histories and treatment details.
- Observe and report changes in patients’ conditions, taking necessary action as needed.
- Ensure medical instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained per policies.
- Maintain a stocked and sterile workspace to support smooth clinic operations.
- Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Communicate effectively with providers and other healthcare professionals to relay patient information and updates.
- Welcome and support the training of new team members.
- Must be able to work 12‑hour shifts in consecutive and/or non‑consecutive days.
- Full‑time: 3 shifts a week, at least 4 shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- Part‑time: 2 shifts a week, at least 2 shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- Per diem: 4 shifts a month, ideally one shift each week.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays.
- Must be able to work at least three (3) additional Convenient
MD locations within a one (1) hour travel distance from your primary clinic. - Required to travel for training shifts which may occur outside of your primary clinic within a one (1) hour commute.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- State‑licensed LPN with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs; for Maine and New Hampshire, IV certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross; CPR, ACLS or online‑only classes are not accepted.
- Compassionate, authentic, patient‑focused; supporting patients through kindness.
- Proactive, confident communicator (written and verbal); able to raise concerns and provide direct communication.
- Trustworthy; able to maintain confidentiality and handle patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
- Effective communicator and cross‑collaborator; establish positive relationships with patients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Excellent team player who enjoys collaboration and strong team dynamics.
- Technically savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; experience with Experity accepted.
- 1‑2 years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department.
Hourly Pay Range for this Position: $29.43 USD – $43.78 USD. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as location, experience, market conditions, and budget considerations. Final compensation is determined at the conclusion of the interview process.
