MD is hiring a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team. In this role, you will play an essential part in delivering high-quality patient care while benefiting from opportunities for professional growth and a supportive work environment. - Patient Care & Triage: Conduct comprehensive patient triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observational examinations to identify immediate healthcare needs.
- Assist with patient exams, ensuring all necessary equipment and documentation are prepared, while supporting providers during testing and procedures.
- Clinical Procedures:
- Perform blood draws and phlebotomy with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage airway support through treatments such as nebulizer therapy, oral suctioning, placement of oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal airways, and administering oxygen therapy and using an AMBU bag for ventilation.
- Provide cardiac management by applying 12-lead ECGs, performing CPR in emergency situations, and utilizing an AED to deliver defibrillation when required.
- Medication & Immunization Administration: Administer a variety of immunizations and medications according to protocols outlined in the Convenient
MD’s registered nurse scope of practice, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.- Accurately process and call in prescriptions to the patient’s requested pharmacy in compliance with provider instructions.
- Patient Communication & Follow‑Up: Handle patient follow‑up calls, addressing inquiries about their care plan, sharing and explaining test results, and discussing any changes in medication or therapy.
- Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with providers and other healthcare professionals to relay patient information and updates.
- Welcome and support the training of new team clinic team members.
- Must be able to work 12‑hour shifts in consecutive or non‑consecutive days:
- Full‑time:
Three (3) 12‑hour shifts per week with at least four (4) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday. - Part‑time:
Two (2) 12‑hour shifts per week with at least two (2) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday. - Per diem:
Four (4) 12‑hour shifts per month, ideally one (1) shift each week.
- Full‑time:
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays.
- Must be able to work at a minimum of three (3) other Convenient
MD locations within a one (1) hour travel distance from the primary clinic. - Required to travel for training shifts which may occur outside the primary clinic within a one (1) hour commute.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification and Prior
Experience:
State licensed registered nurse (RN) with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. CPR, ACLS certifications, or online‑only classes are not accepted.
