The Assistant Sales Department Manager supports department sales, productivity, and customer experience goals. This role develops and motivates the team while contributing to sales on the floor and maintaining strong merchandising and inventory standards.
Responsibilities- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and motivate team members.
- Support the department manager in achieving sales volume and productivity goals through business planning.
- Coach the sales team to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Maintain merchandising and presentation standards.
- Build customer relationships and loyalty through active selling.
- Support inventory accuracy and shrinkage goals.
- Demonstrated success in sales productivity and personal selling.
- Competitive drive and confidence in a commission-based environment.
- Ability to set and achieve sales goals.
- Experience building productive relationships with store and department leaders.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
