Are you interested in building large-scale distributed infrastructure services for the cloud? Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IAAS) technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers run their businesses on our cloud, and our mission is to provide them with industry leading compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever-expanding set of foundational cloud-based services.

As part of this effort, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Object Storage Service team is looking for hands‑on engineers with a passion for solving problems. You will be working on distributed systems, large‑scale storage, and highly available services. You will have the opportunity to own the design and development for major components and features of the Object Storage Service. You should be a solid coder, with an interest in distributed systems, value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn and be mentored.

• Define, develop, and debug software for the Object Storage Service, including large‑scale storage and distributed systems components.

• Provide technical leadership to other software developers.

• Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet evolving needs.

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3–5+ years’ experience in software development, preferably in cloud technologies
• Strong knowledge of C++ / backend Java and meaningful experience with scripting languages such as Python
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and technologies used to build microservices in the cloud
• Knowledge of cloud storage technologies is a strong plus
• Strong knowledge or coursework in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals

US:
Hiring Range in USD from $79,800 – $178,100 per year. Candidates may be eligible for bonus and equity.
