The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Hardware Development team designs and builds mission‑critical, ultra‑high‑performance, integrated compute and storage systems with sophisticated embedded software and advanced management services (ILOM, UEFI). We are seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer with exceptional expertise in test automation utilizing Python. You will be an integral part of a team that spearheads the development of innovative testing methodologies to validate the robustness of our platforms, conducts meticulous root‑cause analysis of failures, and collaborates closely with development partners to implement corrective actions. As a member of the OCI Oracle Hardware Development team, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging, or designing of software applications or operating systems, provide technical leadership to other software developers, and specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Responsibilities- Must be based locally and willing to commute to the Burlington, Massachusetts campus.
- Collaborate closely with the Quality Engineering team to design, develop, and maintain automated test cases and test suites.
- Regularly maintain and update existing test cases and suites to accommodate platform enhancements and changes.
- Stay up‑to‑date with changes in technology and hardware to create effective test cases.
- Execute test suites on platforms under test, analyze test failures, identify and report code and platform bugs, and update tests accordingly.
- Adapt to a fast‑paced environment where rapid turnaround is crucial to success.
- Experience with rack servers, compute storage, PCIe devices, and lab networking.
- Experience with Linux or Linux System Administration.
- Proven experience in developing automated tests using Python.
- In‑depth understanding of various Quality Assurance testing methodologies, including functional and regression testing.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively report and drive bug resolution to closure.
- Experience working with distributed teams across multiple geographies and groups.
- Highly motivated and self‑directed, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Certain US customer or client‑facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.
Compensation and BenefitsUS:
Hiring range in USD: $79,200 – $178,100 per year. Eligible for bonus and equity. Oracle offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
