Billing Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to support billing operations for a long-term contract opportunity based in Burlington, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone who can manage invoicing activities accurately, apply customer payments, and follow through on outstanding balances with professionalism. The successful candidate will contribute to smooth financial processes by maintaining organized billing records and working confidently within computerized billing systems.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

- Record and post incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts.

- Monitor open balances and communicate with customers regarding overdue invoices.

- Review billing data for completeness and resolve discrepancies before processing.

- Generate account statements and other billing-related documentation as needed.

- Maintain up-to-date records within the billing system and ensure data accuracy.

- Coordinate with internal teams to clarify account details and support collections activity. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in billing, cash application, and collections.

- Hands-on experience preparing invoices, statements, and related billing documents.

- Proficiency using computerized billing systems and standard office software.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct billing errors.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills for customer follow-up and account coordination.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
