Position Overview
The Communications Coordinator will play a key role on a busy corporate communications team helping execute the delivery of timely, relevant, and accurate information to more than 80,000 associates at a growing Fortune 500 company. The role will provide administrative support across a variety of operations including assisting with large-scale annual and quarterly meetings and ongoing execution of essential communication functions.
This role requires a passionate pursuit of detail, exceptional follow-through, outstanding organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and strong grammar and proof-reading skills.
- Maintain the editorial calendars that guide our communications deliverables, proof reading and fact checking, managing volunteers and approvals for photo/video shoots, providing on-site and pre-event support for events, coordinating rehearsal schedules and facilities set up, scheduling and distribution of meeting invitations, maintaining corporate email boxes, posting content on internal digital platforms, and managing distribution lists.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and work independently on multiple projects with specific deliverables and deadlines.
- Engage broadly on the team in areas such as writing, editing, graphics, or public relations as opportunities arise.
- A 4 year degree in English, Communications, Business or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of professional administrative experience in a fast-paced and deadline-focused environment
- Creative problem solving skills
- A can-do attitude and commitment to see a project through to completion
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and be open to feedback
- Interest/experience writing corporate messages
- Outgoing and comfortable proactively reaching out to and working with an extensive network of professionals
- Discretion with sensitive information
- Collaborative spirit and ability to work under pressure, within tight time frames and changing priorities
Base pay range: $20.50/hr - $27.00/hr individual pay decisions are based on qualifications, education, job-related skills, relevant experience, and geographic location.
