Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr – $/yr
Position OverviewAs a Senior Benefits Analyst, you’ll support the day‑to‑day administration and compliance of the health & welfare and 401(k) retirement programs. You will serve as the subject matter expert for the 401(k) plan and provide primary support for compliance‑related tasks, including external and internal audits, required filings, testing, reporting, plan funding and vendor payments.
A Day In The Life Benefits Enrollment, Audits and Reporting- Proactively mine benefits enrollment data in the HRIS system, identifying inconsistencies and eligibility concerns that require further research or enrollment/de‑enrollment actions.
- Conduct audits of enrollments with benefit vendors to ensure data integrity between systems.
- Maintain a strong understanding of benefits data integrations with carriers and consistently audit the transfer of information to vendors.
- Assist in the execution of open‑enrollment configuration and testing.
- Maintain process documentation and audit controls.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports, including ACA filings, 5500 filings and non‑discrimination testing.
- Assist with the modeling and costing of plan‑related changes.
- Collaborate with brokers and vendors on benefit renewals and escalations.
- Own billing and invoicing for benefit programs.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, track variances and resolve discrepancies by utilizing Workday reports and collaborating with Finance/AP.
- Conduct audit of payroll benefit deductions and ensure associate benefit deductions for 401(k), HSA & FSAs are transmitted timely and accurately to vendors.
- Coordinate annual plan audit with internal and external auditors.
- Audit data with the record‑keeper to identify discrepancies and rectify records.
- Manage the annual company match contribution process.
- Participate in regular record‑keeper and consultant calls as the SME.
- 3+ years of benefits experience with in‑house administration.
- Strong 401(k) knowledge preferred.
- Experience working within an HR System;
Workday experience preferred. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
- Proactive, solution‑oriented and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Understanding of federal, state and local regulations including ERISA, ACA, COBRA and HIPAA.
