In-School Suspension (ISS) Monitor – Part-Time

Position Summary

The In-School Suspension Monitor is responsible for supervising high school students assigned to in-school suspension. The monitor will provide a structured, quiet learning environment where students can complete classwork and reflect on behavioral expectations. This part-time position requires strong classroom management skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor students in the ISS room
• Maintain a respectful and orderly environment conducive to learning
• Distribute and collect assignments from classroom teachers
• Support students in staying on task and completing work
• Enforce school policies and behavioral expectations

• Minimum of a New Jersey Substitute Teaching Certificate required
• Strong communication and behavior management skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
