Pride Center Counselor

Location: Mercer and Burlington Counties, NJ

Position Status: Fee for Service

Salary: $36 per hour (20 hours per month)

• Provide competent, direct clinical services with children, adolescents and families through individual, group, and family therapy.
• Provide comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment appropriate to psychiatric recommendations and members presenting concerns regardless of race, gender, culture, or ethnicity.
• Develop treatment plan including long-term goals, short-term objectives, and interventions.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision per professional organization guidelines; maintain professional license, obtain advanced license, and attend staff professional development trainings and workshops as mandated or required.
• Utilize interventions based on systemic, behavioral, and cognitive modalities.
• Collaboratively develop individual and family service plans and behaviorally specific goals with the family.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Develop transition plan with individuals/families to assist with termination and ensure linkage to ongoing support.
• Use clinical supervision to promote independent decision-making and enhance system collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

• Master's Degree in a related human services field.
• Clinical licensure as a social worker or licensed professional counselor, or possess an equivalent license from an accredited board.
• Knowledge, training, and application of evidence-based treatment.
• Knowledge and application in the area of family systems and Trauma Informed Care.
• Minimum two years direct clinical experience providing psychotherapy within a behavioral health setting.
• Must have been a licensed driver for at least three years.
  • Must pass an initial and ongoing motor vehicle record check evaluations.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License in the state of residence.
• If required to drive a personal vehicle for work purposes:
  • Employee must have access to a vehicle when needed.
  • Vehicle(s) must be appropriately registered by the state.
  • Must have and maintain automobile insurance.
