We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a team in Burlington, North Carolina on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent role. This position focuses on managing invoice processing, maintaining accurate coding, and supporting timely electronic and check payments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling core accounts payable activities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming invoices for accuracy and assign appropriate general ledger coding before processing.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable tasks to ensure vendors are paid correctly and within established timelines.
• Prepare and process ACH payments and assist with scheduled check disbursements.
• Maintain organized payment records and supporting documentation for audit and reconciliation purposes.
• Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, missing details, and payment questions.
• Monitor payable workflows and help improve efficiency and accuracy across invoice handling activities.
