What We Are Looking ForWe are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic PART-TIME Physician to provide medical care at our Burlington, North Carolina clinic. Minimum workload: 4 shifts per month (paid per shift).
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients per clinical best practices for urgent or occupational health settings.
- Provide compassionate, respectful patient care aligned with Next Care values.
- Discuss treatment plans with patients, ensuring clear understanding of next steps.
- Document care using the electronic system and appropriately code and bill.
- Act in a legal and ethical manner while maintaining clinical productivity.
- Follow up on patient care as indicated.
- Supervise APPs (Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners) per Next Care and state guidelines.

Essential Education, Experience And Skills- Active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license
- Active D.E.A.
- MD or DO diploma
- Residency completion (family or emergency medicine preferred)
- Current specialty board certification
- Active BLS
- Comfortable with all age groups
- Proficient with EHR
- D.O.T. certification required (will provide training if not certified)
- Availability for occasional weekends and holidays (shift schedule flexible)
- Experience interpreting initial x-ray prior to radiologist over-read
- Suturing
- Board certification in family, emergency, or occupational medicine
- Previous experience in family practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, or a full-service walk-in clinic
