We are seeking a patient‑centered Physician Assistant to join our Neurology Department. Prior experience is preferred, but recent graduates are welcome. Applicants must have completed an accredited PA program, hold current licensure/certification to practice as a Physician Assistant, and possess a current BLS certification. Candidates should demonstrate sound professional judgment and the ability to work under the supervision of a licensed physician.
Job Type: Full‑time
Duties- When providing direct patient care, including telephone conversations, uses double identifiers to ensure the right patient every time.
- Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist the physician in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and prescribing necessary treatment and services; records normal and abnormal data for review by the physician.
- Obtains patient histories, conducts physical examinations, and records data in the patient's E‑P chart; writes progress notes; prepares patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
- Orders and schedules laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explains the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
- Performs therapeutic procedures such as wound suturing and dressing changes; monitors patient progress, reports progress to the supervising physician, and maintains a record of each patient’s progress.
- Provides hospital consultations at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
• Completed an accredited PA program
• Current PA licensure/certification
