Honda Aero, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Engine Production & MRO Engineer in Burlington, NC. You will provide engineering leadership for gas turbine assembly, overhaul work scopes, and FAA-compliant repair procedures for new production jet engines and engines returning from the field.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute MRO overhaul work scopes, parts repair procedures, and mass production rework instructions.
- Author and implement engineering changes, FAA Service Bulletins, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
- Collaborate with design and quality engineering to enhance engine reliability and reduce assembly cycle times.
- Design and maintain precision engine kitting layouts, tool shadowing, and parts control systems.
- Provide technical guidance to assembly technicians and collaborate with tier-1 engine parts suppliers.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of engineering experience in gas turbine engine production, overhaul, or repair environments.
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations, turbine engine maintenance manuals, and calibration standards.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (Kaizen, Six Sigma, TQM) and MES software.
- Excellent technical communication and project leadership capabilities.
