Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Burlington, North Carolina. This long-term contract position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in collections and financial processes, who are passionate about maintaining accurate accounts and resolving billing issues. You will play a key role in ensuring timely payments, managing claims, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage accounts receivable processes to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.

- Handle inbound calls related to billing inquiries and provide clear, accurate responses.

- Administer claims and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate account records.

- Utilize accounting software systems to track and update financial data.

- Implement effective collection strategies to recover overdue balances.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing functions and improve workflow.

- Maintain customer account data using CRM systems for efficient tracking and communication.

- Generate and analyze reports to monitor collection progress and identify areas for improvement.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations in all collection activities.

- Provide exceptional customer service while addressing payment issues and maintaining positive relationships. Requirements - Proficiency in using accounting software systems to manage financial data.

- Familiarity with tools such as Accurint and Epic Software.

- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and collection strategies.

- Experience with CRM systems for managing customer accounts.

- Ability to handle inbound calls professionally and resolve billing-related concerns.

- Solid understanding of claim administration and billing functions.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
