Stylist - 1st shift M-F

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing salon/hairstylist services for the campus of Twin Lakes Community. These services may include shampooing, cutting, coloring, styling, and blow-drying. Their daily responsibilities are extensive, and often include the following tasks:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Hairstylists provide a range of haircare services as part of a routine session, including Advising clients on their haircare needs

• Cut, trim and shape/style hair into desired style
• Utilize clippers, combs, brushes, scissors, and blow-out guns to style and cut hair
• Analyzing clients’ hair, facial features, and needs, and determining/recommending beauty treatments
• Styling and dressing hairpieces, extensions, and wigs
• Maintaining an appointment calendar through scheduling
• Maintaining and updating client records
• Shaving and trimming beards and mustaches, and sideburns using clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors
• Maintaining work stations and sanitizing tools and equipment
• Applying chemical setting, straightening, or curling solutions
• Using curlers, rollers, hot irons, and curling irons
• Use a blow dryer to dry hair
• Applying hair color, dye, and tints
• Administering therapeutic scalp and hair treatments
• Checking out patrons and performing record keeping on each resident
• May be required to perform other duties in keeping with the nature of this position which will not significantly alter the job requirements

Education and/or

Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• 2+ years of Stylist experience preferred.
