Description

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for ensuring top-notch quality? We're looking for a dedicated Inspection Operator to join our dynamic team. In this essential role, you'll be responsible for inspecting fabric to ensure high-quality rolls that meet customer expectations and shipping demands. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial as you trim and inspect various materials, verifying specifications such as color, foam thickness, fabric width, and roll size.

You'll operate and monitor equipment that evaluates fabric goods, conducting both automated and manual inspections to ensure precision. As the final step before our products reach the customer, your work will be vital in maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Perform machine setup and monitor for safety (check for loose wires, covers, etc.) to ensure proper working order and report any improper operations or faulty equipment to leadership.
  • Receive and examine production work orders for accuracy (e.g., color, foam thickness, fabric width) prior to labeling and forwarding to the shipping department.
  • Conduct both automated and manual quality inspections of fabric goods to identify any defects (e.g., wrinkles, bubbles, creases, thickness issues).
  • Report any non-compliance with customer specifications or fully rejectable roles to supervisor and/or QC team.
  • Mark any standard defects directly on fabric and log them in the system accordingly.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area (sweep around the machine, stack tubes, wipe down machine).
  • Meet production standards and quotas as set by leadership.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to focus on repetitive tasks; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work with various teams, shifts, and products; willingness to be cross trained.
  • Detail-oriented with basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division of fractions).
  • Strong sense of pride in work quality; proactive in identifying and reporting issues.
  • Ability to work well both independently and with others.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance; some overhead lifting required.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors; correctable eyesight to 20/20 within 10 feet.
