Spinning Operator

Description

Glen Raven is recruiting for a Machine Operator – Spinning Winding Machine. The operator will run the link spinning/winder machine following the operator training manual and safety standards. This position adds value by supporting the company’s commitment to the highest level of production, quality, and safety, and works as part of a team to keep the process running efficiently to prepare the fiber for the doubling machine.

• Night shift, 7 pm – 7 am, 2‑2‑3 schedule
• Pay rate: $19.85 per hour

• Repair roving breaks
• Creel roving bobbins
• Change lots or yarn counts
• Remove laps or chokes from machines
• Repair or clean Marco‑Polo Track
• Start spinning frame
• Remove piece bobbins from Marco‑Polo Track
• Piece up or repair ends
• Repair or replace grippers
• Replace cut rollers
• Repair top apron
• Start winder cones
• Doff bad packages
• Repair bobbins at by‑pass line
• Repair jam at CBF
• Repair winder unit lights
• Repair drum belt
• Empty peumafil waste from end of frame
• Clean air suction pipes
• Put up end on spinning and winder
• Flag damaged machinery and document on flag board located at computer desk
• Clean drum brushes

• Previous experience in textile manufacturing preferred
• High School Diploma preferred
