Pay: $20.00/hour
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to apply high-quality coatings and finishes to metal and industrial components. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial painting equipment, surface preparation, and working with various paints and coatings while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare metal and industrial surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and removing debris, rust, or old coatings.
- Apply industrial paints, primers, and protective coatings using spray guns and other painting equipment.
- Mix paints, coatings, and solvents according to specifications.
- Adjust spray equipment to achieve proper coverage, thickness, and finish.
- Inspect completed work for proper coverage, color, texture, and overall quality.
- Touch up or correct areas that do not meet quality standards.
- Follow production schedules and work efficiently to meet daily goals.
- Properly clean and maintain spray guns, hoses, and other painting equipment.
- Follow all OSHA, PPE, hazardous material, and company safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Safely handle and store paints, solvents, and other chemical materials.
- Work with production and quality teams to ensure finished products meet specifications.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous industrial or manufacturing painting experience preferred.
- Experience using spray painting equipment.
- Knowledge of surface preparation and industrial coatings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications.
- Ability to safely work with paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirements.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, lifting, and climbing as needed.
- Industrial spray painting
- Metal fabrication or manufacturing
- Powder coating or wet paint
- Sandblasting or surface preparation
- Paint mixing and color matching
- Use of spray guns and related equipment
- Experience painting large metal components or heavy industrial equipment
