American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week day shift assignment, requiring 2+ years of experience and remote telemetry monitoring skills.

• Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities
• Specialized focus on stroke (neuro) patient population and CVA care
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Required to float between all Cone Health facilities as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Remote telemetry monitoring experience required; on-unit telemetry monitoring preferred
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6 required
• Skills required:
  
  feeding tube care and management, accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with CVA care and nasal cannula use
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac
• Dysrhythmia interpretation/EKG testing skills required

• Provide care for stroke (neuro) and telemetry patients with complex co-morbidities
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response as needed
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
